Pence suffers from seasonal allergies and the only medication he takes is Claritin, an antihistamine.

Trump has annual physical exam in the spring of every year, and his last colonoscopy, chest X-ray and cardiac evaluation were results.

It also noted that Pence has a “very good and strong heart”, and that he regularly exercises by cycling, walking and climbing stairs. Pence neither smokes nor drinks, the letter states.

The Clinton campaign later acknowledged that the 68-year-old former US secretary of state had been diagnosed with non-contagious, bacterial pneumonia.

Clinton’s running mate, Virginia senator Tim Kaine, also released health records this week. Clinton, at 69, would be the second oldest.
