Deflecting concerns about the health of Hillary Clinton, Vice President Joseph R. Biden said even he is in better physical shape than Republican nominee Donald Trump. He makes a remark about Trump’s health, declaring the business mogul with more stamina than a thoroughbred xxx (as can be judged by the fact that he’s everywhere, all the time, every day) couldn’t keep up with him on a leisurely jog.
Biden, who is 73, said, smiling, that “I’d sure like to see (Trump’s) health report”.
“They screwed up”, Biden said of the transparency of Clinton’s campaign.
He conceded that Team Clinton, which didn’t reveal the pneumonia diagnosis when it was made two days earlier, should have been more forthcoming. “I’m still jogging, still working out”.
Speaking to an invitation-only audience at CPCC, Biden praised the school as well other community colleges.
His speech focused on ways to improve the economy, which Biden said includes investing in infrastructure and education. “Any nation that out-educates us will out-compete us”. And they would pay for it, he said, by cutting tax loopholes that benefit the rich, not the middle class.
While Hillary Clinton tries to recover from a bout of pneumonia, the presidential contest has basically devolved into a bunch of elderly people screaming about which candidate is healthier. I want them to know the woman I have known for over 35 years.
The vice president’s office says in between the community college and Raleigh events Biden will travel to Fort Mill, South Carolina, to speak at a private event for 5th Congressional District candidate Fran Person.
